What Otter's free plan includes
On its pricing page, Otter's free Basic plan lists 300 transcription minutes a month, with a 30-minute limit per conversation. Imports are limited to 3 per user for life, and history keeps the 25 most recent conversations. Pro is $16.99 a month billed monthly. Otter works with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, and has iOS, Android and desktop apps. Checked October 2026. Prices and limits change, so confirm them on Otter's site.

When Otter fits better
If you want a bot to join your Zoom, Teams or Meet calls and take notes on its own, Otter does that and we don't. We also don't offer live captions.
When Supertranscription fits better
- You record in a room, or you have recordings to import: lectures, interviews, a board or club meeting.
- You want the transcript inside a note you can edit, search and ask AI about.
- You don't want to put a bot in your calls.
- You'd rather not hit an import cap on old files.
Limits to know
- The homepage upload transcribes English; in My notes you pick the recording language in Settings.
- Export is copy, TXT, SRT and VTT (Markdown for notes). Copy, TXT, SRT, VTT, and Markdown for notes.
- No iPhone or Mac app yet; the site works in the browser.
- Speakers are numbered, you name them.
