What Plaud is
Plaud is an AI note-taking device and service. Its website lists several recorders (Plaud Note Pro, Plaud Note, Plaud NotePin and NotePin S, and Plaud One as a pre-order) that capture conversations, which Plaud then transcribes and summarizes. It lists a free starter plan with 300 minutes of transcription a month, a Pro plan with 1,200 minutes and an Unlimited plan. Checked October 2026. I couldn't confirm device or plan prices from its homepage; check them before you decide.
Supertranscription is Plaud on your phone
There's no device to buy. You press Record in a note in your browser, on a phone or laptop, and the transcript appears under the recording with speakers and timestamps. Then ask AI for a summary, tasks or tidy notes.

What a device does better
A small recorder clipped to your jacket is always ready and lasts a day, and it can sit on a phone call. A browser tab needs your phone awake and a connection. If you record all day, a device may suit you. For classes, interviews and a few meetings a week, your phone is usually enough. See the voice recorder page.
What we don't do
- No live transcript while you talk.
- Phone browsers can stop recording when the screen locks, so keep it on for long recordings.
- Export is copy, TXT, SRT and VTT (Markdown for notes).
- The homepage upload transcribes English; in My notes you pick the recording language in Settings.
- iPhone and Mac apps are coming soon, not here yet.
Already recorded with another device?
Export the audio file and drop it on the homepage for a quick transcript. See mp3 to text and transcribe voice memos.
FAQ
What does it cost? Nothing is for sale right now. Every account that signs in has Pro free until January. See pricing.
Where do recordings go? Audio goes to ElevenLabs in the US for transcription. Recordings stay in your account until you delete them.
