1. About the service

Supertranscription.com (the “Service”) is an online platform for automatic transcription of audio recordings in English. The Service is operated by Miha Mlakar, Studenca 3b, 1241 Kamnik, Slovenia.

By using the Service you agree to these terms of use (the “Terms”). If you don’t agree to the Terms, don’t use the Service.

2. Eligibility and account

To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian. You must give accurate information when you register. You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity carried out through it.

3. Free and paid plans

The Service offers a free plan with one full transcription and a paid Pro plan with unlimited transcription. Pricing details are on the Pricing page.

4. Subscription and payment

A paid plan is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through the payment provider Stripe. By subscribing you agree that the amount will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe subscription management portal. After cancellation, access to the Pro plan stays active until the end of the current paid period.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Under European consumer protection law you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the date of purchase, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us at info@supertranscription.com.

After we receive your withdrawal request, we will refund the full amount you paid within 14 days, using the same payment method you used for the purchase.

If you have already made substantial use of the Service during the 14-day period (for example, transcribed several hours of recordings), we reserve the right to reduce the refund in proportion to the services actually provided.

6. Resolving disputes

If you have a problem with the Service, please contact us first at info@supertranscription.com. We will do our best to find a solution together.

Before you start a refund process through your bank (a chargeback), please give us a reasonable chance to solve your problem. Talking to us directly is faster and simpler than a bank process.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for:

  • uploading illegal or harmful content,
  • interfering with the operation of the Service or placing an excessive load on it,
  • any activity that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently end your access if you violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

You keep all rights to your original audio recordings and the transcripts produced from them. We claim no ownership rights over your content.

The Service, its brand, design and source code are the property of Miha Mlakar and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

9. Privacy and data protection

Audio files uploaded on the homepage are sent to the transcription server for processing only and are not stored permanently. Recordings and transcripts that you save in My notes are kept until you delete them. We process only the data that is strictly necessary to run the Service (email address, subscription details, saved notes).

For users in the European Union and the European Economic Area (EU/EEA), we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data. Send your requests to info@supertranscription.com.

10. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of the Service is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability in any case does not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will tell you about material changes by email or with a notice on the website. If you keep using the Service after changes are published, you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For users in the EU/EEA, this does not exclude the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of their country of residence.
