Tips for filling it in
- Write the motion exactly as it was voted on. That wording is what counts later.
- Record names for decisions and actions, and leave opinions out.
- Keep the discussion to two or three lines. Minutes are the outcome, not the conversation.
- Use the same headings every time, so people know where to look.
What your group has to include, and how long to keep the minutes, depends on your bylaws and your state or country. This is a practical layout, not legal advice. For the full method, read how to take meeting minutes.
Or fill it from a recording
Typing a template while people talk is hard. Instead, record the meeting in My notes. A few minutes after you stop, the transcript appears with speaker labels and times. Then paste this template into the AI panel and ask it to draft the minutes in that shape. Ask AI writes a first draft from the transcript. You check the names, numbers and votes against the text, then copy the result into your document.
Nothing is for sale right now: every account that signs in has Pro free until January, up to 10 hours of transcription a month.
